Advanced Microsoft Excel – Friday, May 24 at 10a: Are you familiar with the basics of Microsoft Excel, but want to improve your formula and formatting skills? Join Annie at the Pelham Public Library for an Advanced Class on Excel Formulas on Friday, May 24 at 10am.Topics covered will include writing your own conditional formulas, and some formatting tips will also be included. Registration required – priority will be given to Pelham card holders.
Learning Microsoft Excel – Tuesday, May 28 at 6p: Brush up on your Microsoft Excel skills with Adult Services Librarian Annie Seiler. We’ll go over the basics and teach you some must have skills for today’s job seekers. Please call the library to register. Priority will be given for Pelham library card holders.

Bird Watching in New Hampshire – Thursday, June 6 at 6:30p: Learn more about the singing songbirds outside your windows with special guest lecturer Erik Masterson. Masterson, who previously worked with New Hampshire Audubon Society, is a birding expert and has recently published a guidebook on birding in New Hampshire. Come share in his love of birding – all ages are encouraged to attend!
Teen Anime/Manga Club – Monday, June 10 at 3:30p: Come join us as we discuss our favorite anime and manga related topics, work on your own anime and manga-inspired artwork, and watch an episode from one of our favorite series. We encourage you to bring along your favorite anime or manga to share with the group and check out the Library’s growing Manga collection.
Library Hour at the Senior Center – June 12 and 26 from 12-1p: A Librarian will be at the Senior Center to provide reference and technology tutoring, check out a selection of books, sign Seniors up for library cards, and pick up any returned items. The Librarian makes bi-weekly visits to the Senior Center–spread the word.

Civilians in Gettysburg – July 2 at 6:30p: On this day 150 years ago, a fierce battle was waged through the very streets of the small Pennsylvania town of Gettysburg. New Hampshire Humanities Council presenters Lew and Ginny Cage presents the point of view of what it was like to be living in the town during this fierce fight. Ginny Gage portrays Sarah Broadhead, a wife and mother at the time of the battle living with her husband and young daughter. Lew Gage portrays Charlie McCurdy and presents a young boy’s perspective. Both roles are based on original diaries and reminiscences of civilians living in the town of Gettysburg in the summer and fall of 1863. The Gages talk briefly about the demographics of the town in 1863 and what it was like before, during, and after the famous battle. Join the Pelham Public Library on this important anniversary of this legendary event at 6:30p to learn more about the horrors faced, and the hardships that were brought to this small community on that fateful day. Free and open to the public.

Groundbreaking People – TED Talk Discussion – July 16 at 6:00p: As part of the Adult Summer Reading Series, join Librarian Annie Seiler in an engaging discussion of two related TED Talks. Together we will watch the talks given by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandburg and internationally-acclaimed author Isabel Allende, and then have a round-table discussion on the themes and lessons that can be learned by these two groundbreaking-women. All are welcome to join in what will prove to be a vibrant, rich discussion on current issues related to these compelling talks.
