The Artist of the Month program features local artists from the Southern NH area in the Library entryway and lobby. This wonderful program was started by a Pelham resident and allows both new and veteran artists to share their work. If you would like to participate, please email Librarian Annie Seiler.
May Artists: PHS Students
Throughout the month of May, young local artists from Pelham High School will have their work displayed as part of the Artist of the Month series presented by the Pelham Public Library. The drawings, paintings, and ceramic pieces on display at the library were created by students in 9th through 12th grades during the 2012-2013 school year.
Under the guidance of Mr. Mike Norton and Mr. Casey Locke, these talented students took their artwork and ceramics to the state Scholastic Art Awards. Many of the award-winning pieces are on display, including works by Alison Blanchard, Lauren Austin, Jill Fisher, Karlee Erickson, Brandon Mahoney, Sara Passamonte, Nicole Mahogany, Taylor Kudalis, Jake Diaz, Katie Tobin, Brent Rubin, and Sarah Pacheco.
A reception to view and celebrate their work will be held on Thursday, May 23 at 6:30pm. The public is invited to attend to meet these amazing student artists and hear them talk about their inspirations and processes. Check out just a few of the pieces below!
