Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read. The goal is to highlight the value of free and open access to information. Banned Books Week brings together the entire book community –- librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers, and readers of all types –- in shared support of the freedom to seek and to express ideas, even those some consider unorthodox or unpopular.
Check out our Banned Books Display at the library and explore the issues and controversies around book challenges and book banning.
You can also have your mugshot taken with your favorite book. Here are a few patrons taking out some Banned Books!

I was here the other day and I got my picture taken for this and I am not in these pictures
Your picture is probably on our Facebook. We couldn’t fit everyone on the blog post. Thanks for participating Stacey! https://www.facebook.com/PelhamPublicLibraryNH
