Happy October! Pelham Public Library is participating in NH READS!
We are thrilled to celebrate the works of Edgar Allan Poe with several big events.

Book Club

October 4 @ 6:30pm

The Adult Book club will discuss the works of Edgar Allan Poe. Join a diverse group of readers as we talk about our ideas and interpretations and enjoy healthy debates on writing. All are welcome.

Poe Poe Poe!
October 9 @ 7pm

A theatrical production of the works of Edgar Allan Poe by Eclectic Entertainment. All ages are welcome. Held in the Dr. Ernest Mathew Law Reading Room. Overflow on the balconies!

Kids Book Club–Tuesdays with Stories–Grade 4-6th
October 16th @ 3:30-4:30pm

This is an exciting new opportunity for kids in grades 4-6th who like to read good books and then have an opportunity to share their impressions and ideas about these books. We may also play some games, create some art work or have a guest or two. And, of course, there will be food! We will meet the third Tuesday of each month for our discussions and to pick up our new read. For our first get together, we will discuss your reactions to some short stories and poems by Edgar Allan Poe. Stop by the library and see Miss Debbie at your earliest convenience to register for the Kids Book Group “Tuesdays with Stories” and to pick up your print-out of these works.

A Haunted Reading of The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe
Dusk-8pm
October 25th

Join us outside for a haunted reading of The Raven. Travel the trail between the library and the baseball field and read illuminated text from Poe’s amazing poem. Perhaps you’ll see Poe himself in the woods? Then join us back inside for Halloween Treats and a Halloween Party for the kids.

Kids Halloween Party
October 25th 6-8pm

Third annual Pelham Library Halloween Party! The TAG kids are once again putting together a fun evening of games, contests and creepy challenges for the young patrons of the Pelham Library. So put on your best costume and prepare to parade the library! You will also have an opportunity to participate in the haunted reading of The Raven outside the library so bring your flashlight and your nerves!!
